Home Networks - Structured Cabling - Home Technology
What are they?
The answer is quite simple - all of the above are names to describe the bringing together of the different low voltage residential services into the house to a central point. Utilising the home network this allows a planned and organised method of distribution and sharing of the services throughout the house. These services typically includes telephones, data, Internet access, TV RF signals and satellite or cable TV.
A correctly designed sysem will allow flexability as to what any outlet in any room may be used for. It also allows other services, which may be required at a later stage, to be added and for the system to be altered or modified without major disturbance or rewiring.
Additional services that can be part of a structured home network system may include security, CCTV cameras, door entry, multi room audio, home cinema, lighting control and much more. Your imagination is the only limit!
